Fortified: Arise and build
Day 1
Assembled in church at 7.30am. Had ice breakers and stuff. Went to Pasir Ris beach for an activity. She sells seashells on the seashore. We had to build a dam around the sandcastle to prevent it from getting washed away by the tide.
Back to church for lunch, and headed to MOE Dairy Farm, our campsite. Checked in, dedication service, and then workshop. How to build a strong spirit-filled life.
After that had mass charades, dinner, then night service- Persuing your prophetic destiny Headed back to the campsite for supper, wash up and then lights out.
Day 2
Woke up at 7, had breakfast then headed to salvation army for our 2nd workshop- Music and Youth
Had lunch, went back to campsite and had our briefing for game- WAR. We have to run to the opponent's territory and go through different obstacles to retrieve bricks. 5 bricks and that's the end of the game. On the other hand, we had water bombs to defend and attack. If anyone gets hit, you gotta go to jail for 7 minutes.
Maybe typing like that very boring, but it was super fun! :D Yay our domain won. The whole game lasted for around 4 hours. Inclusive of walking to the field plus preparation of water bombs.
Went back, washed up plus dinner, then went for night service- The making of a champion of God After that, supper, wash up and then lights out.
Day 3
Woke up at 8. Breakfast then morning workshop- Back to school Then had our 4th workshop cum activity- Repairing our spiritual gates and walls
Had to go to many different stations and play some games. It lasted for a couple of hours, then we went back to bathe.
Headed back to the salvation army. Had our pre service prayer. We watched Passion Of Christ instead. I watched it almost everyday in Medan, so the impact wasn't as great as the first time. Just had a little tears. Partook Holy Communion and then went dinner.
Had our night service and Cheryl & I went high. Heh heh. After that, went back to our campsite. And since it was our last night, lights out at 3am. We played bridge. Happiness! :D
After 3, Janell, Joy and me sneaked out to Ivy's dorm. Continued our bridge game. We had such a time hiding away from camp comm. Slept over at their dorm.
Day 4
The last day of camp. We got to wake up at 10am. Packed our stuff and checked out of the campsite. Headed to the salvation army and we had our finale service and sharing of testimonies. Took camp photos and back to church.
Ate Sakae buffet with my cell. My $75 gone like that. They still haven't paid me back my money :( Went back home, showered and then went to Elias Green with Vanessa to Marvin's house to play mahjong and bridge. Shawn said both of them waited for us for 3 hours. How exaggerating. Played till midnight and home sweet home.
Personally, I find Steps camp better. The spiritual atmosphere here compared to Medan is so much different. It was so much easier engaging in Medan. And I also felt sleepy during services. Maybe it's cause I didn't go with an expectant heart. But He is mighty :)
